the way christians talk about hell is actually insane

recently, I've been researching comparative mythology. Since the afterlife, especially versions of hell and heaven, are common in mythology, I've been looking into them in more detail, and even from the small amount of research I've done into the christian hell, it actually shocks me how insane christians sounds trying to explain it.

i wanted to figure out what a christian hell actually looked like to compare it to other versions of the underworld. Most of the articles that popped up where "myths about hell." im going to leave a quote here from one that actually had me staring at my phone in shock and mild horror.

"Stalin will not be sent to the lake of fire because he murdered millions of his own countrymen; rather, Stalin, like the unrepentant librarian, will suffer in hell because he scorned God’s mercy and rejected Christ."

Like that is actually insane HOW DO PEOPLE BELIEVE THIS??????
