Moving to Italy - Renting Without a Job?

How well do you really speak Italian? Being able to make small talk or order restaurants is not nearly enough to be able to integrate. And I’ll wager that you don’t speak as well as you say you do.

I speak Italian fluently, at a near-native level. As an EU citizen, I don’t require a visa or a permesso di soggiorno, even if I were to work in the future - and the same should apply to my family.

Hey, I’m actually from a small village in Istria. I grew up watching Italian TV, speaking Italian among friends, and being around Italians all the time. I worked in Milan for five years. People usually assume I’m a southerner rather than a foreigner - my accent gives me away a little!
