Honestly I think it’s because I don’t put up with crap. My family have this “we are family, so we should have unconditional love for each other” mindset. Essentially no one is allowed to disagree with how anyone else in the family treats them, even when I was a child I was taught I had to put up with the kind of behaviour a person should not accept. As I grew up I realised that I shouldn’t put up with that behaviour, from family or otherwise. That’s when I became the “controversial” one, when I began to set boundaries with my family
