Um, YES. Super anxious about the transition. We got together the summer before his M4, so we don’t really have any prior experience to prepare our relationship for this change. It’ll be long distance on top of the transition to residency; he’ll be 2 hours away by plane, 11 by car. I have to stay where I am for the foreseeable future with the job market being what it is (honestly feel very lucky to have a job at all right now) so we just don’t know when we’ll be able to live in the same place again.

I feel you! The communication is the scariest unknown considering it’s essential in any relationship, especially since there’s very little control us SO’s have over it. You basically just have to cross your fingers and hope they still put in the effort even on hard, sleep depriving rotations...
