Not sure about career advice as I've never had one, just a long string of random poorly paying jobs in hospitality, warehousing, construction, teaching, design etc. If I was 20 again I'd probably consider becoming a tradesman (tradie in Oz), ie builder/electrician etc. They make bank here in Australia.

Thanks alot, im already looking into investing (started with a small amount into a world etf every month) but the thing with the house is also really great advice, and also learing a job where i can come back anytime would be a great foundation to always come back after ''failing'' at something.

Agree with this on saving money and investing early…for the most part. If I could do it again at 20 I’d go explore the world or move somewhere abroad for a year and kinda have a no rules attitude. Your early 20s are for discovery and making mistakes. Then, I’d get serious. I’d start seriously saving money in a high interest savings account and thinking about what kind of career I want that brings me fulfillment. I do what I love now (fundraising for a large climate advocacy org) but if I got into this company, say, 5 years prior, I’d be making even better money and have an even larger retirement fund.

Thats what im thinking too, i was thinking about going into the us for a year as a volunteer and just live with the ''no rules'' attitude kinda obv there are rules but its something else, i live in a small town here in germany and its really cool to meet new people you dont already know, so something like that would be really great not only for my english but also for getting opener to talking to people and also just filling a gap thats there with feeling well and having no pressure and just doing what you want to do without having in your back that you have to work and find something soon, since i think that this is something thats really stressing me in some way, sry for my bad english. :/
