Underrated winter hikes for a cloudy winter day?

I absolutely love going to the ADK in the winter time. I've done more high peaks hiking/camping in the winter than I have the other 3 seasons combined. Some of my all time favorite views have been at the top of a high peak on a crisp, sunny, winter day overlooking the snow-covered scenery.

My wife and I will be going up this weekend to do some hiking. If the weather is crisp and clear, we will be hiking Algonquin as it is (in my opinion) one of the best winter high peak hikes. The views are amazing and the terrain is (relatively) manageable even with snow and ice. HOWEVER, at this point the forecast isn't looking great visibility-wise, so I am looking into some alternatives. What are some of the best hikes in the ADK outside of the high peaks? Something that would provide some great views even with a low cloud ceiling? I have not ventured too far outside of high peaks hiking and I know I am missing out on some awesome hikes!

A quick side note: I've done quite a bit of winter hiking/camping over the years. It is certainly doable, even if you have never done it before! In fact I would highly recommend it. Just please be prepared and have the right equipment if you intend to venture out in the winter.
