Streaming music services need ads between songs

So I hate ads more than the next person, BUT I know its really hard for musicians to make revenue from streams right now and no one buys albums. If Spotify or Apple Music did ads, then they could pass some of the revenue from advertising along to musicians (like how youtube or twitch streamers make money), and also it would generate more album and mp3 sales (since then people can listen to the album/favorite songs without ads).
