Feeling bad about janky / out of order degree, anyone in a similar boat?
Not looking for any specific advice about courses, I’ll see an advisor for that. But I’m more just wondering how common it is to have your degree not go in the “normal” order.
I’ve changed my mind and switched a couple times in the last couple months and I’ve finally landed on something I think I’ll like. But because of the classes I’ve already taken (and am currently taking) I have to sort of do things out of order. For example I won’t be able to take biochemistry (a second year course) until my 4th year because I need all of next year to get my bio1020/1030 credits.
Im also gonna be graduating in 5 years instead of 4 which I know isn’t that rare, but I still feel a little guilty.
Is anyone else doing their stuff out of order or has switched degrees? Just tell me I’m not alone in taking a first year course as a third year next year..
