How necessary is a power lift recliner?

Or will a standard recliner be fine? My surgery isn't until May, but I've been checking marketplace for recliners for a decent price since I will have no use for it after recovery and won't be keeping it. I don't want to spend more on a lift recliner if a standard recliner will be good enough.
