Power surge killed tv but surge protected powerboard still works?

Had a thunderstorm last night and there was a large crack of lightning. Immediately after that the tv stopped working. It's plugged into a belkin surge protected powerboard which still has the little proctected light on it working. I can plug other things into it and they work fine.

Nothing else in the house is damaged, just the tv. Wouldn't a surge go through every powerpoint?
