Sydney to Blue Mountain

Good day mate, I'm gonna travel to blue mts this Sunday by public transport. I'm aware of the 2.50 cap but does it apply to train and bus operator in blue mts ? will be taking bus to central and then train to blue mts, katoomba perhaps. any idea sight seeing around there other than three sister ?
