Best late game PVE Class for 7.6?

Hey y'all.

I'm looking to return to SWTOR here. Any guides/ideas on the best PVE class for late game content?

Like KOTFE, KOTET and so on? (Mostly everything post-Class Content)

Something that could do damage and take a beating. Not feel like wet tissue paper if you fight more than one mob at once.
