Will we ever have physical money?

I've been enjoying Pyro and the feelings of it being a lawless system. But i find it a bit funny how payouts for jobs are always electronic / directly to your account. Would this kind of financial infrastructure exist is a lawless system? Imagine if you could only be paid in physical currency, and you would need to transport it into a lawful system if you want to integrate it into a banking system. Would make interesting gameplay. Loot could include finding money instead of just salvaging.
