Meshtastic in Saskatoon?

I've recently learned about meshtastic. Meshtastic is a low-cost communication system that lets people send messages and share location data without needing cell service, Wi-Fi, or satellites. Instead, it uses small devices that connect to each other wirelessly, creating a "mesh network." Each device acts like a relay, passing messages along until they reach their destination.

For example, if you're out hiking in a remote area and want to send a message to someone far away, your device can send it to other nearby Meshtastic devices, which pass it along until it gets to the person you’re trying to reach. This way, you can stay connected even in areas with no regular communication options.

It’s great for emergencies, outdoor adventures, or any situation where staying in touch is important but traditional networks aren’t available.

I'm wanting to get one of the mesh radios but was wondering if there was any community for this sorta thing in Saskatoon at all? The whole premise of the open source project is having lots of radios to build the mesh and if none are in Saskatoon then it might not be worth my time.
