Thoughts on editing / cleaning up an interviewee who has lots of "ums" and "you knows"
Hey all - I just wrapped up an interview this morning with a great subject who had tons of great advice...and an UNBELIEVABLE amount of "you knows." I'm tempted to go in and edit them out to make the talk smoother, but also intimidated by the prospect.
Any thoughts no the extent you go to to clean up your interviews?
For context, my podcast is a Tim Ferriss style interview - one take, usually minimal editing, just asking the person questions (rather than a more produced show like This American Life or RadioLab).
