Is anyone else’s energy bill through the roof?

My bill last month was $532 which was reasonable because we were home from before Christmas through New Year’s and we had guests so the heat was running slightly warmer. Since after New Year’s, my energy bill is projected to be over $700 which is absurd. The most I’ve ever paid in the past in a winter month was $450. The only thing I can think of is that the auxiliary heat is on more than usual, but I didn’t think it has been that much colder than the past.
