M3 max vs M3pro use cases

Hello,

i have decided that I will probably get a new M4 macbook pro (not having used a mac for the past 2 years) but i wonder what are your use cases for the M3 pro or MAx.

My usage, although not super intense, still includes having Outlook, Teams, Chrome (with a lot of tabs), and Excel open for a good part of the day, and these are fairly memory-intensive programs (I will probalby run them via PArallels in addition) I also do a bit of Python programming from time to time, but nothing too crazy. I don't have much need for 3D rendering or photo/video editing, and in terms of games, I'm more attracted to strategy games or roguelike/lite like Slay the Spire, Hades 2, RimWorld... but sometimes I might be tempted by some slightly heavier games like Age of Wonders 4 and possibly the new Metaphor.

EDIT: to be clearer, I am leaning towards the M4pro but wonder whether the additional power of the Max would be needed, although I Don't think so.
