Companies need to stop forcing idols to apologize for minor things
I only apologize to someone if I genuinely feel bad for what I did. Otherwise, what would be the point of saying I'm sorry? It's understandable that K-pop idols have a public image to maintain, but forcing them to apologize for trivial matters makes them seem... well, ridiculous.
Apologizing for being intolerant, committing illegal acts, or causing harm to others is justifiable and morally correct. Unfortunately, idols often apologize for things like merely looking at someone of the opposite gender or for baseless speculations about their private lives.
I believe idols should apologize only when they truly feel the need to, unless the situation is serious. In such cases, their companies should intervene. What's your opinion on this topic?
