What's something good that happened to you in Japan this year?

Just felt like looking at some positivity.
Here's some from me:

I got promoted this year, which as one of the only foreigners in a Japanese company of a 1000 people made me feel pretty damn good (even if the pay bump was negligible).
Had our second kid, and she's absolutely amazing.
Made a lot of good alcoholic friends.
