Maxxis Rambler but Better? 38mm to 40mm

I have a pair for 38mm Maxxis Ramblers. My bike has clearance for maybe 40mm tires.

Bought these off marketplace because they were cheap, I wanted to try Gravel (on my Cyclocross bike) and they had tan sidewalls.

Did a few races last year, loved it! Tires felt good traction wise. Now I'm wondering if there's anything better out there. Can I get the same amount of grip but more speed? More comfort? Or do I already have the perfect tire?
