New clubs

I play a set of Ping Gs from 2017. I plan on getting a new set this year. I've already replaced my wedges and woods, instead of buying all the same, I tried 6 or 7 different brands in each club. My plan is to buy different brands in each club if that's what feels best while demoing. Have any of you ever done this or know someone who has? Thoughts?
