New Dev Resources + direction

Hello all,

I am going to start developing a game with my kiddo with unity. The game will be a mobile game. I have some experience with coding(c, c++, java, php, html, iptscrae, ios) some of them where from college classes, others from playing around when i was younger.

I wanted to refresh and re-introduce my self to programming and decided to go the Udemy route.

As of right now, I have three courses, "the ultimate guide to game development with unity(official)" by Jonathan Weinberger, "Create an RPG Game in Unity" by Pete Jepson(currently my first course i plan on completing), and another one that touches on the concepts of idle/clicker/incremental type games.

The concept for my game would be similar to "Alien Invasion: RPG Idle Space" purely from a physics/play style stance. (it will not be themed this way, and will hopefully evolve beyond it)

I *think* the courses i have selected will touch base on everything i need to accomplish this. However, the biggest thing i don't see covered(it very well may be covered but I cannot tell) is non-enemy AI; i would like to be able to add friendly A.I similar to the above mentioned game and its offshoot inspirations. (i.e having helpers go around the map collecting/attacking ect)

I guess what I'm looking for is advice on if i am headed in the right direction, and any suggestions/feedback on course selections, recommendations that will ensure i can make this project a reality.

ty for reading in advance!
