Buds 3 non pro horrible audio quality

The audio sounds like a phonecall and is very low volume. There is no bass, the audio is static and it sounds just awful. I've tried resetting them, pairing them to another phone, checking for updates, nothing works. Before i return these garbage headphones is there anything i can try?
