Should I read ACOTAR

Fourth Wing was my first fantasy style book. I used to read dark mysteries/psychological thrillers (then I read “Then She Was Gone” by Lisa Jewell and then “Verity” by Colleen Hoover and the ending of both of those didn’t sit well with me) then looking for something more light hearted I got into contemporary romance book this year. I had heard about Fourth Wing but didn’t really think it would be my thing since the world building of Fantasy books is something I’ve always struggled to wrap my mind around. Ultimately I was convinced at an independent bookstore on vacation that the romance in the book would make it for me. And now I’m on the Fourth Wing hangover struggle bus. I have seen a lot of people say ACOTAR is great if you like Fourth Wing but that the first book is hard to get through. Curious what my fellow Fourth Wing fanatics thoughts are? Should I read ACOTAR next?
