Neurological disorder responds better to eink
I’m diagnosed with a neurological disorder which makes regular screen use very challenging. E ink has been a game changer and I’m ready to invest in a quality device.
My use case: I work as a social worker with very high risk individuals and am frequently on the go, so durability of a device is important. I need to be able to quickly jot down notes and keep track of different appointments. A reliable battery is important as well. I am hoping that the device will allow me to take some more classes again as well.
As far as my wishlist goes, I’m looking for something along these lines:
- Calendar integration!!! (Ability to see and edit outlook calendar)
- bonus points if I can integrate a calendar from more than one account,
- bonus bonus points if I can add calendar meetings by handwriting (I don’t care if it stays handwritten or switches to text after upload)
- Accurate handwriting to text
- Able to securely store notes (password protected would be helpful)
- Ideally able to edit pdfs (or utilize a pdf editor)
- Ability to search for words in handwritten and typed notes/pdf/books/etc
- Organizational system (folders/different notebooks/etc)
- Ability to annotate books
- Ideally able to link to books or other notes within a note for ease
- Limited distractions is preferred
