Refund on a cancelled card?

I canceled my flight and requested a refund. I got an email saying that the refund would go to the original form of payment and my credit card was listed. That card (FAB) got replaced bc of a fraud charge attempt and I got a new card with different numbers. Does this mean I need to Inform Emirates Airline about the new card number or does it somehow connect the two?
