Pi Speaker Build

Hello All,

I am considering building a set of two π bookshelf speakers and pairing with a pair of three π subwoofers. The bookshelf speakers would be set upon the subwoofer box with a riser.

It is either this, or building a set of three π speakers and just using them.

That is about all I have room for unfortunately. If the subs don't sit under the bookshelf speakers, I likely can't fit them.

I have a pair of consumer grade Klipsch towers currently and have recently gotten a bug for better audio after hearing a pair of Klipsch Heresy with a McIntosh amp and a Technics turntable. I feel like I heard sounds I had not heard before in music. It gave me goosebumps and I keep thinking about it.

I am an electrical engineer by trade and a woodworker by hobby, so the DIY aspect (and price) of the π kits is attractive.

Any input on what setup I would be happier with? Unfortunately I cannot hear these before buying, so it is a bit of a crapshoot...but this brand seems highly regarded on reddit and other forums.

Would also appreciate build pics or room pics of similar setups.

Thanks,

Joe
