Storylines aren't thought through

It seems like every storyline is written spur of the moment and never thought through to completion. For instance, David and the money. It's thrown into a script once in a while, but nothing ever comes of it. Amy being drugged could have been a much bigger and better story, but it was just a few episodes and done. With Betheny's surgery story, this could have gone so much deeper, not just given one or two episodes. The writers are letting themselves and us down by not planning properly or thinking things through. I bet with the Leanne fraud scheme there will be one courtroom scene, and then she's in jail and only showing up once in a while when someone comes to visit her.

I really want to continue to watch Corrie. I'm just tired of no stories with depth.
