is putting coke in your joints really a thing?

since i’ve been smoking weed, i heard sooooo many of my friends saying that if you sprinkle coke in your joint it makes a royal joint. one of my friends told me if you do that you basically smoke crack. i never tried it, it always made me curious but still never tried it. also seems like a waste of coke
