Was J.D Salinger a p*dophile?

I’m a 29-year-old Vietnamese woman and recently I’ve been familiar with J.D.Salinger’s works. I’ve been reading the “9 short stories” and there are two stories that make me super concerned. The first one is “A perfect day for banana fish” and the second one is “for Esme - with love and squalor”.

I’m Vietnamese so of course my cultural background is very different from American culture but i keep getting p*dophilic vibe from these two stories. As far as I know, Salinger was a very influential author at the time so am I crazy from getting these weird vibe reading his work?

Any explanation and analysis would be greatly appreciated as I’m just trying to understand. Thank you so much!!!
