Growing Cactus Indoors
Good morning Cactus people. I wanted to share my set up and my plants.
I’m pretty proud of what I’ve put together. But I wanna learn and improve and I thought it would be helpful to get some outside opinions. I don’t share my plants or my set up very often because I feel pretty embarrassed to show my tiny plants to cactus growers in places like California and Arizona growing in beautiful backyard green houses with 30 year old specimen plants. Lol. But all my plants are healthy and growing and bloom on the regular. This is my third year growing cactus, and this upcoming winter will be winter number three.
I had a ton of casualties winter one, then had way fewer casualties during winter two, and I hope to get through winter three having lost no one.
For context I’m in New England and the seasons are extreme and it rains a lot. I have an out door set up with plants that can handle the rain. Stuff I’m more concerned about I keep inside.
They’re under Barina T5 LED lights, and when I have some extra money I’m going to double up on the bulbs per shelf. Ignore the spot lights those are for my aroids.
What do you think?
