Extremely simple Maxilos stability fix using parts you probably have on-hand
Maxilos (with Spinax, of course) is, IMO, one of the best Titan sets from the entire Bionicle line. He has, however, one fatal flaw—poor stability. Long legs, a heavy upper body, and thin feet render his hips very prone to sliding outward, causing the whole model to tumble over.
My fix here, using common G1 pieces available at the time of the set’s release, adds an additional socket to each leg, similar to later sets like 2008 Takanuva, Makuta Icarax, et al. The entire reinforcement structure slots cleanly onto open axles/pinholes—no deconstruction necessary at all! It’s a simple, easy way to make sure your Maxilos stops tumbling over without altering the aesthetics of the model.
