Intended DS Freshman

I’m an intended data science + econ freshman (currently undeclared) and wondering what I should be doing this spring semester to stay on track and gain experience (with comprehensive review and trying to land a job after grad and all).

Schedule: CS61A, Math 54, Econ100b, and EPS20.

I’m also applying to URAP and CDSS Discovery but I’m not sure how plausible that is for a freshman. Should I apply for data science clubs? Cold email professors? Get a part time job? Any insight/tips on the above would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
