Which Retro Game should I play first?

Planning to play more retro/older games this year and I have alot but these are the main ones I’m focusing on.

read alot of good things from people online and in real life.

I loved Half-Life 2, especially episode 1 and 2, great expansions, I prefer 2 mostly because of the new mechanics and gameplay loops, but never played the original Half-Life and I’m definitely open to it.

Only played Human Revolution and Mankind Divided and both were spectacular, I heard how legendary the first game is, especially the GOTY edition.

Morrowind seems to be the fan-favorite and I’ve only played Oblivion and Skyrim and I’m very interested, I heard how it’s the best immersive one when it comes to the world, npc’s, magic, etc. I also heard how tricky it can be to navigate early on in the game, but I love a good challenge.

I remember having loads of fun in Max Payne 3, and I need to play more remedy games, also a fan of Alan Wake and Control so I’ve also heard how amazing the first Max Payne, Sam Lake is goated.

Silent Hill 1 and 2 were both incredible, and I heard how more intense 3 was I’ve heard it just tosses you into the action with no time to breathe and also the most “other world” look apparently which intrigues me.

I loved Fable 3, originally played it back on the Xbox 360, I wished it was on PC, but I do know Fable 1 is on PC and it’s considered a classic with it’s more fairytale vibe.

Only played the newer Wolfenstein games, 2009, New Order and New Colossus, and I definitely seen alot of praise for Return To Castle Wolfeinstein, especially how perfect the praising is and how fluid the gameplay is when it comes to fragging and trick jumping.

I remember how innovating Splinter Cell was and as someone who’s a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid, I’ve been looking for something similar, I’ve only played Conviction and Blacklist and they were pretty good, I am aware the earlier Splinter Cell games are more puzzle than stealth but they still look cool.

I know Wind Waker is alot of people’s favorite Zelda game, from the art-style and soundtrack, I really wanna try it, I originally played the HD remasters of Ocarina Of Time and Majora’s Mask on the 3DS, also Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword on the Wii, I also remember loving Minish Cap, I never got the chance to play WW on GameCube and I don’t have a Wii U, so I’m interested to see if it lives up to my expectations.
