Looking for scifi horror recs

But here's my caveat. Im more interested in the scifi horror that DOESNT use space/space travel as the primary plot and/or setting. It's not that I don't like space-related science fiction at all, I just feel a bit burnt out on it. Does anyone have any recs that fall within the non-space scifi genre? Like stuff where a certain event or invention changed the course of history, or government conspiracies involving weird medications or hidden creatures, dystopian society, etc.
