(Spoilers Extended) What would it take to convince the fandom to turn-cloak on a major theory for a less popular one?

Happy New Year everyone! Cheers to a new year, and perhaps cheers to a new direction!

So my question is ... what would it take to convince the fandom to turn-cloak on a major theory for a less popular one?

Besides George giving his personal blessing on a theory (because that would be too easy) ... what would convince YOU to change your mind on popular theories you believe in?

For example, changing your mind from "R+L=J" to something else (like "R+L=Twins")?

What kind of evidence would the fandom need to switch over?

Or are people's hearts set on what they believe in ... and they don't like any attempts to convinced them that they are wrong?

Also just a reminder: a popular theory can still be false. Just because 20 million fans believe a theory, doesn't make it the correct one. The reality is only one person can decide if it is true or not ... and his name is George.
