Please DO NOT be this one pilot.

I've flown on VATSIM for quite a bit now, and do definitely enjoy it, exploring new parts of the world while at it, with volunteer ATCs, and also other pilots who share the same hobby. It's the fun of it, and one of the many reasons I enjoy it.

However, noticeably, I have been noticing some... interesting pilot quality, one of them being earlier at Dubai today.
Only Dubai Ground was on at this time, if I can recall, his name was Marlon or something. He did a brilliant job when I was there, so shoutout to him as well before I tell the story.

It was all calm for the most part, then unfortunately a VIR (can't remember the exact callsign, so I'll just refer to them as VIR), lands on the wrong runway. Maybe not the biggest deal, and Ground can't do much. As such Ground just informs them, "Just be advised, you've landed the wrong runway, please double check the ATIS next time."

I don't know what the pilot was thinking, but for some reason, decides to lash out against the controller, threatening to "wallop him to a supervisor" and "he'll be making a report", and that "he doesn't have time for this"? Dude, you just landed on the wrong runway. Ground is just trying to inform you of your mistake.

I'll be brutally upfront here, if you are this type of person, you really shouldn't be on the VATSIM network if all you do is lash out at controllers for your own wrongdoing. Period.

I do feel bad for the controller, but he handled it well and remained composed, so fair play to him. I do hope he walloped him after that one.

Has anyone else here had a similar experience anywhere else around the world perhaps? Interested to hear some stories.
