Does taking STA220 help with better performance in ECO220/204?

I'm a current rotman student who's enrolled in STA220/ I heard ECO220 is heavily stats based so I was wondering if anyone can give some insights on if taking STA220 could give me a head start for ECO220/204 or does the stats we learn in 220 have no connections with them at all?
