Has anyone on here tried marijuana to help their symptoms

Just curious if anyone on here has tried smoking marijuana as a remedy for any symptoms or just for recreational use and how it affected them/if they had any negative side effects to it. As someone who was recently diagnosed with UC and has smoked in the past I’m just curious if this is something I should avoid now that I’ve been diagnosed.
