It's crazy how Final Fantasy 15 mini-franchise was a thing.

I randomly thought back on FF15 and how I don't remember much of it save for the road trip open-world stuff and cup noodles. I do remember how they tried to rush another type of FF7 Compilation by making it a multimedia franchise. It had a CG movie (with celebrity casting), an anime, a mobile game, a VR fishing game, a multiplayer add-on, a rework expansion, collaboration events, and 4 character DLC; and there was gonna be more but they ran out of money or just gave up on the franchise entirely. The franchise lasted 3 years and it just dropped.

I do remember enjoying the game, but it's starting to become a hazy memory from long ago despite not being a decade old yet, and that's due to the story being a complete mess. And that's the craziest part of the whole thing, SE tried to make a multimedia franchise from a game that had a troubling development cycle for 9 years. You look back when it was Versus 13 and rebranded as FF15, you see that the gameplay, story, and scenarios were played differently.
