Transit in Turkey: A Parent’s Perspective on Safety and Airline Experience

Hi everyone,

I have a sensitive question regarding airlines and Turkey. I’ve never flown with Turkish Airlines before, and this will be my first time flying in 5 years. I found a great deal on a ticket from the USA to my home country in Asia with Turkish Airlines, which is why I’m considering booking with them.

Over the past couple of years, I haven’t heard any negative news about this airline, and I’ve also checked the U.S. Embassy website, which states that it should be fine to travel to Turkey. However, my concern is whether it is safe to travel and transit through Turkey, as my flight has a 10-hour layover there.

My trip is planned for the end of this month, and I just want to ensure it’s safe for me and my child to travel and make it back home.
