High Prolactin Levels

Hi, I went to an endocrinologist to have my T levels checked. They drew blood. My T levels are low but they want me to get an MRI to check for tumors on my pituitary gland because I have high prolactin levels. Is an MRI really necessary? Would diet and exercise be the better option? I don't want to get caught up in the system of tests and medications if I don't have to. I'm always skeptical of it all being a money grab. Maybe I shouldn't be that way.
