Let's See What the Summer Brings

After teaching Middle School for two years, I think I am ready to walk. I am applying exclusively to high school jobs this Summer, but if I don't get one, I'm calling it quits, getting a temporary job or new permanent profession, and applying to grad school. How am I supposed to deliver instruction and be judged by student engagement when so many of them do not care? How is me giving a write-up to my principals for something that should be a suspension result in me not "fostering a learning environment". I got a proficient on my observation and STILL got snubbed a renewal regardless. Starting to think this profession blows.
