Year 10... Falling in love with teaching again.

I have 8 minutes to write this. Year 10 has been legendary. From the kids to my classroom, to my inclusion teacher, and the aids that help with other students. I am falling in love with teaching again.

For the last couple of years, I have been in limbo. Birth of kids, paternity leave, and searching for an administrator job (let's be realistic I only want that job for the pay raise). I may tell people I want to effect change but I think, if I am being honest with you and myself, I was lying my ass off with that famous line.

I have slowly been realizing maybe administration isn't for me. I got into teaching as a plan B because I sucked at college and the major I thought I wanted to be in. Furthermore, ten years into teaching I have realized the kids are and always will be what makes teaching special.

Why would anyone want to leave the classroom?

Here is to the rest of year ten,

Cheers,
