Switching to Sony
Right now I’m using a fujixt30ii + fujixf1855, and I’ve gathered a fairly decent portfolio which I’m very happy with. Problem is, this year I’d like to push myself a bit more and going pro (or at least making some dimes). Fuji is absolutely not reliable for this (I’ve done a recent backstage shooting and I think I lost probably 1/3 of the photos opportunities, while another 1/3 didn’t come out as I liked). Autofocus is very bad, and I’ve heard it doesn’t get better with better models. So I was planning to change brand, and since every pro seems like to use Sony, I thought it might be a good idea.
Some info about me:
- I shoot mostly architecture/finerart (really dunno how to call my style)
- Im trying to delve more into portraiture
- I’d love to keep a somewhat “portable” option (I’m very happy with the weight of my setup and portability, even though I wish I had a longer focal lens at some point, which should result in an heavier weight)
- I don’t like prime lenses. I really want and need a zoom lens to shoot
- rn I’m broke, so I’m not in a rush. But it’s a goal that I wish to achieve during this year.
- budget will vary compared to how my life goes, but I’d say between 1.5k and 3k (max 3.5k but I’d really like to avoid that)
- I don’t care about colors in body or color science. I post process a lot and I shoot with the most neutral colors possible to ease my editing process.
Given all those info, what setup could I aim for?
