Meat not scanning at target

So I’ve had a few orders at target where I’ve went to scan the chicken , beef whatever meat and the barcode wont work. So I type in a weight. It clears and then when I got to finalize the order prepaid it gives me a “error” and says to put the meat back. Even when the weight is under or exact to the weight the customer requested. What am I doing wrong here. It’s happened multiple times and it’s super annoying. Thanks.
