Favorite Colors

You guys know me - my favorite color is rainbow! 🌈🌈🌈 I prefer clear brights and pastels, but I love most anything in a rainbow, or with at least several colors present. If I had to narrow down a singular favorite color, it’s a tough choice between pink and turquoise. I am a lot stricter about wearing my favorite colors than about decorating with them; my house has a lot more wood and toned down greens and blues. There’s still lots of bright color and white, but faded colors and earthy tones are much more soothing to me in home decor than in my outfits. But if I don’t wear bright and light colors often it drains my energy, and I don’t love to wear brown. Do y’all feel that you wear your favorite colors, or are you more likely to decorate with them, or something else?

I wore this yesterday to work in my shop and then to do tarot readings at a bar in the city. I’m working on painting my shop sign, so I actually expected to be outside on a ladder all day wearing long johns and coveralls. But the snow forced me to pause, so I got to wear a fancy outfit instead. My shop is also in my favorite colors, and I didn’t even paint it! The prior business owner had extremely similar taste. It helps my motivation to pick a good outfit because I know I’ll be seen by customers and also get the boost of matching my colorful shop. Opening the shop has really highlighted for me how natural my Sapphire logic is and how thwarted it felt while I was solely working from home. I think that goes to show that sometimes you can’t force your way out of a style rut until something in your situation changes. Not that I felt in a rut every day before, but I really lived to dress for events, and now every work day feels like a little event. 😊
