Brazilian here clearing up a few points on Arnold's video!

First of all, I have to say that this is possibly the best RLM video ever, I've watched it about five times and I still laugh my ass off.

Just wanted to add some context on some parts of the Arnold video, this is from a purely informational perspective, I'm not mad with the misconceptions (as I said, loved the video), just wanted share more info. And if you have spent any significant amount of time online you know that we Brazilians love to make very clear for everybody that we are from Brazil whenever possible.

First of all Carnaval starts in earnest (some people start earlier) Friday evening, then Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Fat Tuesday (Mardi Gras), and it ends on Ash Wednesday. The next Monday life's back to normal.

- So the first one is the "Puta" / "Puntas". Given that Arnold starts with "Thank you for showing me your..." he probably was trying to say "bunda", which means butt. So Arnold was thanking the women for showing him their butts, so it's still very creepy and weird.

- Next is the "fish water", thankfully there is no fish water involved at all with the brown meats and beans food. That is called "feijoada" and as somebody comment it is indeed delicious: Black beans with different pork cuts, ranging from more tradicional sausages, ribs, and cutlets going all to way to ears, feet, and tail. Not everybody eats it every Wednesday and Saturday but traditionally restaurants serve feijoada on those days. However it's a quite heavy food and you become almost comatose after a nice plate of feijoada.

- The float parade does not go on for 36 hours straight, what he's watching is what is called a "Samba school" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samba_school - the top schools parade during Carnaval's Saturday and Sunday from around 8 PM until around 7 AM the next morning, each school parading for around 80 minutes. I have no doubt that people fueled by drugs and their passion for carnaval do indeed dance for 36 hours straight, but not on what Arnold was watching.

However one aspect that they got 100% right is that every Carnaval Arnold descends in Rio demanding that people dance for him and serve him milkshakes.

EDIT: Forgot one last tidbit: The guy selling piss from a drum on the beach is actually selling cold mate tea!
