new to PC building

so i’ve had my pre-built for some time now and i think it’s time for an upgrade. it can’t run as much as it used to and it’s sometimes slow in general. i’ve been looking into possibly building my own because i’ve always wanted to try.

this is where i’m stuck at now. i’m completely clueless to all computer stuff. i don’t know what parts are good, what parts or bad or what parts are compatible and not compatible with each other. i tried using the pc part picker website but i’m not sure what all to get. i just keep selecting what’s the most expensive parts if that tells you how much i know lol.

what i want in a computer is just something i can stream/record with, plays anything from low-end to high-end games, and has customization that looks nice. all that in a hopeful not breaking the bank price.
