Why did Said bin Sultan die in Seychelles

Hi, so I would post this in r/askhistorians but the one time I posted there nobody responded. But basically according to wikipedia the former sultan of the Omani empire Said Bin Sultan who seems to be the most respected Omani leader online, died in Mahe Seychelles.
For some reason I can not find any information about him moving to Seychelles or whether Oman ever controlled that island or much information about his death at all. While you can find lots of information about the Omani empire like most famously the control of Zanzibar, and the Sultan moving there. Maybe there are more sources in arabic that talk about this that I cant find by searching but if any of you guys have information that would be nice.
If Oman did control seychelles it seems like the former Omani empire was most concerned with controlling places that were good vacation destinations haha, Seychelles, Zanzibar, Salalah. Although this was before tourism as an industry really existed so I doubt the sultan moved there due to it being a nice retirement place.
